Not sure if works in photoshop, but it does in GIMP: change a colour to the alpha (IDK how it's called in english, that's the exact translation from dutch). If you choose white, it erases everything that has white in it

(So everything that's grey becomes black with a lower opacity)

Hot I finally managed to make a clean enough drawing (lines) to make this tutorial, and it has turned.
