Jeanne Bécu, devenue la célèbre comtesse du Barry, et dernière grande favorite de Louis XV. J'ai lu il ya quelques temps déja une biographie romancée de ce personnage pour lequel j'ai de l'affection depuis "Versailles no Bara". J'avais envie de lui rendre hommage, et contrairement aux mauvaises langues qui ne la considèrent que comme une catin partie de rien, Jeanne du Barry, comme son aînée Jeanne Poisson (la Pompadour) aimait les arts et s'entourait de philosophes de poètes et de peintres.
Que de Jeannes dans la vie de son vieux cochon de Louis XV !!! ***************************** Jeanne Bécu, or countess du Barry, last favorite of the king of France, Louis XV (louis XVI's granfather). I read few years ago, a biographical novel of this character whom i love since " Versailles No Bara". I wanted to pay homage to her, and contrary to the malicious bad-mouth ones who think she only was a courtisan started from nothing, Jeanne du Barry, as her elder Jeanne Poisson ( the Pompadour), liked arts and was surrounded by philosophers, poets and painters. enjoy France history!!
