What not to put in your comic.Part of the problem in adapting Guardians is that the premise was written when I was a kid.  Being a kid, I naturally included things like "power stones" and the like.  My story is so entwined with these elements that when it came to making it into an actual story that doesn't make ears bleed, I couldn't write them out.
So, I'm writing a list of things I wish I hadn't put into my story (because they're exceedingly difficult to pull off in a non-cliche way).  I'm also going to include a few things that actually aren't in my story, but that some people have mistakenly believed I've included.
I'm doing this so maybe you guys don't make the same mistakes as I did.
1. Power stones.   You know, some glowy, magical object that gives everyone "magical abilities".  It's so cheesy.  So overdone.  Don't do it!  I've made this number one, because, in my mind, it is the #1 offender.  Ou

DA is a great place.I just thought I'd say. I see a lot of hate for DA about, but I think it pales compared to the positives.
A really great website overall, I think, with such focus on sharing art.
And then there's the people. I've been to a lot of internet forums. I've also been to a lot that consider themselves 'friendly', but the etiquette and respect you have for each other (most of the time) is one of the main reasons I enjoy it here so much.
Perhaps we artists are a more mellow bunch. I don't know.
